Annelise Capossela is an award-winning illustrator living and working in New York City. She received her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design and her MFA from School of Visual Arts. Annelise has created images and motion work for editorial, books, comics, advertising, surface design, and more. With her own work, and in teaching, Annelise's focus is on art with purpose, story, and heart. A born-and-raised Vermonter, she spends as much time as she can in the mountains with her rescue dog named after Winnie Cooper.
Annelise is an adjunct professor at Fashion Institute of Technology and also teaches a remote Continuing Education course in Motion Illustration at The Minneapolis College of Art and Design. For fun and accessible stuff, check out this Flip Book GIF demo made for the Society of Illustrators.
Annelise loves talking big ideas, projects, great television, hiking, snowboarding, dogs, cats, life's trials and tribulations, and, of course, Generative AI is a waste (hint: art is empty and cheap if it doesn't know what it's saying or why). Say hi anytime! I'd love to chat.
